The winner of the 2011-2012 Mark Twain Award was Runaway Twin by Peg Kehret. This made two years in a row that Peg Kehret won, and her fourth Mark Twain award! Not only did I get to meet Peg Kehret, I also got to meet her lovely daughter, Ann!

The winner of the 2012 Newbery Award - Jack Gantos for Dead End in Norvelt! I have had the pleasure of meeting Jack on several occasions and ran into him a few months ago. Read about his reaction here! Newbery Winner Be sure to check out his other books as well.
